Product Description
KOSTChill™ EG A fully formulated virgin ethylene glycol based heat transfer fluid containing an inhibitor and additive package that controls the corrosion of metals; helps prevent scaling and the fouling of heat transfer surfaces, and buffers the pH to maintain it in the optimum operating range. KOSTChill™ EG has a recommended operating temperature range of -60° F to 250° F when mixed with appropriate water concentrations. It provides both freeze and burst protection for systems exposed to low temperatures.
Benefits:
• Fluid is dyed fluorescent pink for leak detection purposes
• Silicate free
• Meets the Heat Transfer Fluid ASTM D8039 requirements standards for multi-metal corrosion protection and for D1881, foam tendency testing for ready-to-use heat transfer fluids
• Available in dilutions ranging from 30% to 70%
• Exceptional low-temperature pumpability
• Operating temperature of -60° F to 250° F
KOSTChill™ EG inhibited virgin ethylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid is manufactured with the highest quality raw materials. Each KOST® USA fluid is specially formulated with a state-of-the-art inhibitor package that prevents corrosion, which minimizes fluid expense and extends fluid life. Please note that we recommend diluting only with RO (reverse osmosis) or distilled water to maintain corrosion protection.
Typical Applications: Chemical Processing, Thermal Energy Storage, Closed-Loop Water Based HVAC Systems, Sidewalk and Playing Field Subsurface Heating, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Ice Skating Rinks, Computer Cooling Systems, Cooling Water for Gas Turbine Power Systems, Boiler Systems, Power Generation Systems, Cooling Towers and Chillers
