Product Description
KOSTChill™ EG HD A fully formulated virgin ethylene glycol based heat transfer fluid containing an inhibitor and additive package that controls the corrosion of metals; helps prevent scaling and the fouling of heat transfer surfaces, and buffers the pH to maintain it in the optimum operating range. KOSTChill™ EG HD was explicitly designed for use in heavy-duty industrial applications, such as heating and cooling systems in refineries and chemical plants. It has a recommended operating temperature range of -60° F to 350° F when mixed with appropriate water concentrations. It provides both freeze and burst protection for systems exposed to low temperatures.
Benefits:
• Fluid is dyed fluorescent pink for leak detection purposes
• Meets the Heat Transfer fluid ASTM D8039 requirements standards for multi-metal corrosion protection and for D1881, foam tendency testing for ready-to-use heat transfer fluids
• Silicate free
• Long life fluid where extended maintenance intervals are desired
• Available in dilutions ranging from 30% to 70%
• Operating temperature of -60° F to 350° F
KOSTChill™ EG HD inhibited virgin ethylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid is manufactured with the highest quality raw materials. Each KOST® USA fluid is specially formulated with a state-of-the-art inhibitor package that prevents corrosion, which minimizes fluid expense and extends fluid life. KOSTChill fluid is silicate free and meets ASTM standards; and is available in dilutions ranging from 30% to 70% EG. Please note that we recommend diluting only with RO (reverse osmosis) or distilled water to maintain corrosion protection.
