Description
STABYLAN 500 HT is a clear amber, solid-free, synthetic oil engineered for prolonged use at high temperatures. It is a clean, ashless formulation for continuous service
without harmful residue buildup.
Viscosity grade is light enough to provide thorough penetration when applied, but it also features a very high viscosity index to hold a sufficient, sustained lubricating
film at the high end of the operating range - up to 550° F. Extremely low evaporation loss leads to economical consumption rates and less waste.
Field of application
STABYLAN 500 HT is especially suited for conveyorized oven chains running on anti-friction roller bearings. Typical of this configuration are continuous proof and bake systems for industrialized production of bread, rolls and buns. Other applications include: overhead conveyor bearings on metal finishing, paint lines or curing ovens; lithograph printing lines; textile finishing tenterframes; and film stretching ovens.
Method of application
STABYLAN 500 HT is normally dispensed by automatic chain oilers designed to deliver a metered shot directly into the bearing race at controlled intervals that can be adjusted by the operator for optimum rates. When shutting down the oven, the lube cycle should be continued with chain running until it has cooled down below 150°F. This will minimize potential for thickening buildups within the guide rail and allow for easier restart when production is to be resumed.
